McCain & Obama Lollipops and Hard Candies
Make Obama’s Inaugural Sweet!
“Kai’s Candy Company has an international relations policy we can get behind. They use a Japanese hand-rolling technique to put hilarious cartoon renditions of Obama and McCain on their Political Hard Candies.” - Every Day with Rachel Ray, November 2008
“As a piece of edible propaganda, it’s one of the best I’ve seen… The Obama pop is attractive… the background is a translucent candy instead of an opaque color, which adds to the appeal of these, like they’re enamel… It’s good quality stuff and the company takes great pride in their work.” - Cybele May, Candy Blog
“Now you can satisfy your [Obama] lust by wrapping your hands around the big B.O. and licking his sweet face… his lollipop face, that is.” - Comedy Central’s Indecision 2008 Blog

Happy Holidays to All!
The Candy Sets
Made with the traditional Japanese art of kumi ame (rolled candy), our political candies are here to add some extra fun to Obama’s Inaugural. Each candy set comes in an attractive clear tube, and they make great stocking stuffers! Each candy is individually wrapped, and the lollipops come on super long 8" sticks. The flavors are similar to American hard candies, but with a more mild flavor. But look out for the small Obama candies - they have a zesty mint flavor!
If you’d like to order a combination of sets not listed above, please contact us and we can help you out!
How the Candies are Made
Our candies are not churned out by deadly Terminator robots working in some mindless, soulless automated candy factory. The artwork on our candies doesn’t rely on cheap, printed dyes that’ll disappear after a single lick. The images on each candy are solid all the way through. Our candies are hand-made by Japanese artisans, using centuries-old traditional candy making techniques. This means that each and every candy is unique. Our candies are just like snowflakes - no two are exactly the same!
